THE ADVENT OF ARM BALANCE
MONDAY 14 APRIL, 6PM

We’re all aware that arm balancing and other fancy looking poses have absolutely nothing to do with being a “good yoga practitioner”..

However, challenging one’s self, accepting these challenges, working towards a goal and installing good habits are a direct association with yoga philosophy - in particular the 5 niyama’s (self-disciplines) from Patanjali’s 8 limb path.

So, lets have some fun!

During this 75min session I’ll guide you through the basic principles of arm balancing & lifts, to ensure a firm foundation for you to build upon with control & confidence.

We all start somewhere.

First time? What to bring. What to expect…

  • Walk down the long driveway lit with fairy lights and leave your shoes at the door.

  • Please arrive 10mins before class start time, for initial introduction to the Shala

  • Wear something you can comfortably move in.

  • Bring a small towel and in cooler months, some socks & a jumper to keep you cosy during rest.

  • Inform the teacher prior to practice, of any injuries or areas of concern

  • Please turn off mobile phones.

  • Try not to have too much in your belly a couple of hours before practice.

  • Turn up with an open mind and allow the practice to work it’s magic!
    Consistency is key!
